About me

With an NPQH (National Professional Qualification in Headship) and 10+ years of Senior Leadership experience I know how schools work. I also appreciate how busy Senior Leaders are and how it can be a challenge to find time for focused, proactive work.

I can offer an independent but experienced eye on strategy, teaching, leadership and staff development. I bring a focused approach informed by observation and conversations with staff both of which I do with diplomacy and care.

I can be flexible to suit you and your school's needs but will always provide a written report to suit the brief I have been given.

Every school has different needs and so an initial conversation to discuss these is always the best first step. However, the below will give you an indication of the areas in which I work.

If what you need falls outside my areas of expertise I will try to recommend someone who could help you.

Teaching & Learning

My work has encompassed reviewing and designing Teaching & Learning strategies.

I have also worked with individual teachers or departments who need help to develop their teaching.

Having someone independent from SLT/SMT to conduct learning walks or lesson observations although for candid feedback leading to development.

If there is part of your academic offering which needs an update or change I can also help with this, for example enrichment or university preparation.

Middle Management

Middle Leaders or Heads of Department are the pillars on which any Teaching & Learning Strategy is built. Harnessing their potential will drive positive change in any school.
